I woke up. talked to Jerrod which was nice to say good night to him. And then I headed to work. It was somewhere else than normal so today me and Roxy walked through Trinity College to get to the place we were going. On the bus a man behind me saw me reviewing my Refugee Legal Services materials and he was asking me questions--I sorta knew the answers.
Trinity is really pretty. I kinda wish I would be there because it is so much closer to everything. But it would be annoying to have tourists around all the time.
This is where my work sent me today. I sat in on a hearing for a Refugee Appeal. It was very interesting. We did get in trouble for taking photos. Roxy kept trying to take the pictures but people kept walking through the automatic doors.
Can't see the sign, but there it is.
Today was just work, lunch, class, reading, skype, dinner, hanging out with the roommates, and then an attempt to walk to the Spar, which was not open. Oh well. Adventure walks are fun.
Basically just a hanging out day in Apartment 8. Hopefully something fun happens tomorrow night! First Friday night in Ireland! Yay!
Things I thought about/noticed today:
- The barrister I worked with had two different color socks on
- Irish people only eat ham sandwiches--no other meats
- Everything closes too early
- We don't have a can opener (I bought soup)
- I should buy some ziplock bags
- There is a LOT of lawn/grass in Ireland
- My shoes all give me blisters so I'll be wearing flipflops a lot
- The classroom is stuffy where we have class
- It stays light way too late still
- I want to take a ride to the coast on my long weekend
- I need to go gift shopping
- I really like all of my roommates
- Sports I have witnessed: soccer, cricket, hurling, rugby
- I still don't like beer
